The Recreation and Sport Management minor is designed for students interested in recreation-related sectors, such as events, parks, public recreation, sport, and therapeutic recreation. Students learn how these areas contribute to individual well-being and vibrant communities. Coursework prepares students to plan, market, lead, and evaluate recreation and sport experiences; manage personnel; and advocate for equitable access to recreation opportunities. Course selection allows students to tailor the minor to their interests, with options such as facilities management, the sport industry, outdoor recreation, and tourism.
