The Middle Level Teacher Education program at Illinois State will prepare you for a professional educators license for teaching young adolescents in grades 5-8. As part of the requirements for this program, you will choose two subject areas in which to focus your studies. Throughout the coursework, teacher candidates will gain the professional knowledge and skills needed to become a highly effective educator, as well as approximately 350 hours of hands-on classroom experience prior to student teaching.
