DescriptionThe Applied Community and Economic Development (ACED) sequence is an interdisciplinary program that enables those who are passionate about social change through service to take their careers to the next level. The sequence is designed for returned Peace Corps Volunteers and students with other development experiences (e.g., AmeriCorps, nonprofit work).

DescriptionAthletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who render service or treatment under the direction of, or in collaboration with, a physician in accordance with the state’s statutes, rules, and regulations. As part of the health care team, services provided by athletic trainers include patient care in five domains of clinical practice: prevention; clinical evaluation and diagnosis; immediate care; treatment and rehabilitation; and organization and professional health and well-being.

DescriptionBiomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on living systems. The graduate program studies how biomechanics relate to performance enhancement and injury prevention. Students apply what they learn and serve as movement analysts in sports and workplaces. At the end of the program, they complete a thesis, independent study, or professional practice.

DescriptionExercise Physiology studies how the body's structures and functions alter during exercise. Professionals use exercise physiology principles when training clients to maximize their physical potential. Exercise Physiology students study these principles and apply them to how people acquire, use, and improve motor skill. Students also learn to use physical activity to educate individuals in health, fitness, and sport settings. At the end of the program, students may choose between completing a thesis or independent study.

DescriptionThe Physical Education Pedagogy graduate sequence is offered 100% online. This sequence provides students with the educational background necessary to enhance their knowledge base and skills in teaching physical education K-12. The sequence is designed for people who already have a degree in Physical Education Teacher Education or a teaching license to teach physical education. The program is not designed to lead to a license/certification or endorsement in physical education.
