DescriptionThe Child and Family Practice track prepares students to work with children, families, and communities across a variety of service systems. Emphasizing engagement, assessment, and intervention, this track equips students to address challenges such as trauma, mental health concerns, family stress, and systemic barriers. Graduates are prepared for practice in child welfare, community agencies, healthcare, and related settings, with a focus on strengthening families and promoting well-being.

DescriptionThe School Social Work track prepares students to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children and adolescents in educational settings. Students develop skills in assessment, intervention, consultation, and advocacy while collaborating with educators, families, and community partners. Graduates are prepared to promote student success, address barriers to learning, and contribute to safe, supportive school environments. This program meets requirements set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education for graduates to pursue licensure as a school social worker in the state of Illinois.
