Admission Requirements

Completion of a Gateways to Opportunity Credential-Level 4

A minimum 2.0 GPA and a minimum of 60 credit hours from an Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Associate of Arts or Science (AA/AS) or a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences (B.A./B.S.) program

Credit for prior learning is awarded to all admitted students based on the Gateways to Opportunity Level 4 credential and the competencies therein for the following coursework: SED 205A01, TCH 110, TCH 210, TCH 271, TCH 292, and TCH 278. All students must have a C or better in SED 101 or an equivalent course from another institution or complete SED 101 prior to graduation.

All majors in the Early Childhood Workforce Online Licensure Sequence will successfully complete:

• Video-based pre-student teaching hours

• A full semester of Student Teaching (STT 399) for which teacher candidates are awarded 12 semester hours of credit

• Passage of all applicable teacher licensure assessments.

• A cumulative GPA of 2.5 to complete the program.

• A grade of C or better required in all coursework

• Transfer credit (60 credit hours) for A.A., A.A.S., or Bachelor's degrees awarded.
